Right now the search by author is performed by

https://openportal.isti.cnr.it/results?cnrauthb&qv= Name Surname

However, it seems this query is not using the author fields only.

In fact the following query

https://openportal.isti.cnr.it/results?cnrauthb&qv=Riccardo%20Cini

returns a record where the author is not present.

You are using an invalid url, the right url is

https://openportal.isti.cnr.it/results?qf=cnrautb&qv= Name Surname

for example:

https://openportal.isti.cnr.it/results?qf=cnrautb&qv=Riccardo%20Cini

In your URL you does not specify the query field (qf=), so you were performing a search on all fields.

Also the field name was wrong (cnrauthb instead of cnrautb).

the URL come from the ISTI Website ... we contacted the managers to fix the issue.
