Before editing this public Web page I would like to get your feedback about the public Web Page of the Tuna Atlas VRE:
https://i-marine.d4science.org/web/fao_tunaatlas/home

Indeed, after the review, we had a discussion (the friday) and we agreed that IRD was going to provide an update of Tuna Atlas VRE Web page which could be used as a template / showcase for other public Web pages. Paul and Anton have been helping to update and validate the content and I sent an email to get your feedback. Not sure you have made comments and I think it's in line with these expectations.

I have some similar content for other VREs but I was waiting for your approval before making any update.

Hi Julien,

please find below a couple of replies from my side (I kindly invite @s.garavelli@trust-itservices.com to add her view, these pages are expected to be a mix between dissemination, outreach, documentation, etc.):

  • the workflow seems complex and too much "for techie". I would suggest to produce an high level that focuses on the flow while hiding any the technologies behind;
  • there is no screenshot \ tutorial on what can be done by the VRE;
  • the link to the VRE Wiki (and the content of the Wiki) sounds ok for "documentation purposes" rather than for dissemination;

Dear Julien, all

I was starting adding my comments in here but then there were too many :) ..so I've summarized them in the attached word doc. Please have alook. I made a new proposal on how I see the page. I agree with Leonardo's comments and I?ve tried to address them in my proposal as well.
The doc includes track changes

Please feel free to contact me if anything is not clear and please let me know if oyu agree or not with what I am proposing. If we agree on the structure of the page we can give it as an example to all the others VRE managers
Thanks
Sara
