Description

Following the instruction at #10788#note-8 we have this line of code (line 355):

final String message4Success = "I have just set-up a new <strong>" + modeler.getDesignation()+ "</strong>. You can make use of it on <a href=\""+portletURLWhatIf.toString()+"\" target=\"_blank\">What-If Analysis</a> or <a href=\""+portletURLTechno.toString()+"\" target=\"_blank\">Techno Economic Investment Analysis</a>.";

As you can see at preEco News Feed, this snippet worked at development (see post from Denis Pyriochos at Jan 16, 10:30PM) but it fails at preproduction (see post from MrPink at Jan 18, 1:10PM).

Is it something in the code or in the post processing?

Sorry Danis, we better investigate and the html anchor can be used only in certain cases.

So you should avoid using it. You can still write something like "I have just set-up a new .... . You can make use of it on portletURLWhatIf.toString()"

where portletURLWhatIf.toString() is the url to be written in plain text

Hope it helps

Ok then, I will use this instead. Is it safe to use the strong tag or I should avoid it, as well?

#8 Updated by Massimiliano Assante about 1 year ago

I would avoid tags.

#9 Updated by Denis Pyriochos about 1 year ago

Ok then, all tags removed. But when I post plain text I get plain text (see https://pre.d4science.org/group/pre message from Denis Pyriochos Jan 18 at 7:37 and 7:40).
But our development installation has different behavior from the preproduction so maybe it does work in pre, right? So, I am asking @massimiliano.assante@isti.cnr.it to redeploy, via #10820.

We have a bug on the regex for matching the urls. Basically it doesn't recognize the ip addresses. Take a look at my last post in preeco https://pre.d4science.org/group/preeco?oid=0755fc23-3002-4241-8927-a2063440990e . On the other hand, there is no issue with the hostnames.

I'm going to fix it
